Mangesh is a Venture Partner of Thomas Weisel Venture Partners. He joined TWVP in 2001 and currently focuses on investments in communications, storage and semiconductor companies. While at TWVP, Mangesh has been involved with the firm's investments in Bay Microsystems, Modulus Video, Reactrix, Santur Corporation, Senforce, Siliquent Technologies (acquired by Broadcom) and W5 Networks.

Prior to joining TWVP, Mangesh held engineering and marketing management positions at Neomagic Corporation in Santa Clara, California. He led the development of several generations of Neomagic's mobile multimedia processors, including the MagicGraph(TM) 128 and MagicGraph(TM) 256 product families. Additionally, Mangesh was part of the core design team at Neomagic that was awarded the Mobile Innovation Award in the component design category by Mobile Computing & Communications in 1998. Before Neomagic, Mangesh was a Senior Design Engineer at Intel where he was part of the core design team that designed several generations of cache and memory controller chipsets for the Pentium Processor.

Mangesh received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He also received his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India. Additionally, Mangesh received his MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, with a thesis on long-haul optical communication systems. Mangesh holds five patents in the areas of graphics and display technologies. In his spare time, he enjoys biking around Los Altos and practicing hand drumming.
