Robert May
Robert is the Chief Financial Officer for Thomas Weisel Venture Partners. Prior to joining TWVP, Robert was the Controller at Mohr, Davidow Ventures, an early-stage venture firm with $1.2 billion under management. He was responsible for fund financing, reporting, portfolio and Limited Partner management. Prior to Mohr Davidow, Robert was a Financial Analyst for Hewlett-Packard in the Integrated Circuit Business Division, specializing in the Semiconductor industry. Before HP, he worked at Drexler Technology as a Production Control Analyst. Robert graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Jose State University with a BS in Business Administration, emphasis in Finance. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Private Equity CFO Association (PECFOA), an agency comprised of senior executive finance professionals.

Jack Helfand
Jack is the General Counsel of Investment Banking and Private Equity for Thomas Weisel Partners. He joined TWP in February 2004 as senior legal counsel to the private equity and corporate finance groups. Before TWP, Jack was an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for five years, representing clients in numerous public and private mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and venture capital transactions. Previously, he worked for three years as a corporate and securities attorney at Mayer, Brown & Platt and clerked for a U.S. District Court Judge. Jack received his JD from Washington University and a BA from Michigan State University and Tulane University.

Allison Murdoff
Allison leads Investor Relations and Marketing for TWVP. She has worked with Thomas Weisel Partners since early 1999 as the Director of Recruiting, and helped grow the firm to over 800 employees. She joined the private equity group in March 2002, working in Investor Relations for five private equity funds, including TWVP. Prior to TWP, Allison worked as the Recruiting Manager for Booz Allen & Hamilton, a management consulting firm in San Francisco. Previously, she worked in education in the Bay Area for five years. She received her BA in Sociology and Business from the University of California, Los Angeles.
